Fight back against media hypocrisy - Defend Edwards' bloggers!

Right-wing media sources have made two progressive bloggers recently hired by the John Edwards campaign targets for character assassination. ABC, CNN, the AP, and the NYTimes, have uncritically "reported" these attacks. The coverage has been riddled with inaccuracies. Tell the outlets to stop being little more than stenographers for their vitriol.

  • Hey - nice comments on Deal Hudson's blog - but Catholics for a Free Choice is a not a good Catholic Group to quote - in fact they are not even Catholic - even us progressive Catholics are not happy with Kissling.

    I think Kissling represents more Catholics that I personally know. Most of them are against abortion personally and would not have one, but they never look down at any woman who made that choice, and they practice some form of birth control. They do not believe in "war" against a candidate, but rather, how do we work this out, and they back someone who doesn't fire people the first week on the job based on some comments made long before the employer hired them.

    But the point is more that Donohue is an entry to the RW hate by shouting out Jews and having little respect for feminists, who have the 1st Amendment to speak out. It is OK for him to have it, but it's not for feminist provocateurs to have opinions on their own blogs that work as technical consultants, not spokespersons? And Donohue used the three letter word more than once "war." We are in one right now and I don't see his plan for peace. Instead, he is loudmouth to get attention. His 15 min are up.

    I don't know him, but I know about what Deal Hudson has said and this is his commentary:

    So you accuse the feminists of being crude and vulgar, yet a person Bill Donohue supports raped a woman when he was stupid? And Donohue forgives him? Yet, he attacks some posts by them that were well before Edwards campaign invited them to the staff? Yeppers, they said some things that are untasteful, but neither one of them have actually committed an act of crime.

    As John Stosell would say, and I don't care for him, but I like the expression: Give me a break!

  • Why is it that Deal had to pay a 30K settlement and resign his post at the Crises when 5 other editoral board people demanded it, Peggy Noonan canceled a speech because of Deal.

    You guys, and you are men who are posting on Deal's behalf, probably support Clayton Williams too who said about date rape, "Just lay back and enjoy the ride."
