In the lower right corner of the photo, once you click on it, you will see Cate there too! They look enthused about the Tarheels!

  • Hi, Benny! This is EdwardsGrrl from JRE Grassroots, and I'm taking you up on your invitation.
I'm sorry if I stepped on any toes back there, I was just having fun. ;) But JRE does look good, doesn't he? Cate looks nice, too, but JRE...gosh, I wish I hadn't missed the NC-Clemson game now!

  • It's interesting about JRE and his modes of media communication. In this picture, he is more attractive as a dad and professor at UNC. Sometimes, he still looks like a senator, and others either as the President or as a spiritual man.

It is delightful to see him out enjoying life with his family. And up close, his aura is very powerful.

  • I just happened to get a glimpse of JRE at today's game between Georgia Tech and UNC! He's only a few rows up from the back of the commentators. He looks very very relaxed!

I've been watching the game off and on, hoping for that glimpse. I didn't see Cate this time. Pooh.

  • Amen about the guy's aura! At the risk of sounding like a teenager (I just turned 35), the man reeks of awesomeness. Seeing him with Cate at the b-ball game proves he's a cooler dad than most. He does have that "new professor" air about him, but in that pic, and others, he comes across as very relaxed and sweet.
I've never met JRE (I live near Winston-Salem), and if I did, I'd probably faint. I may've forgotten, but have you met him? If you have, what was he like?

  • When I met him in DM, one woman nearly fainted meeting him, as though she were meeting Paul McCartney in 1964 during the British invasion.

I found him to have an aura, and that he's very spiritual. So while it's nice to see his attractiveness, his faith in the universe and God are very present when he meets you. Yet, he's very human too. Cheers to you, Benny

  • Cool. I wish I were that lucky, but I don't live anywhere NEAR Chapel Hill or Raleigh, so I probably won't meet him anytime in the near future.
It's great that he believes in God and is such a spiritual guy. There aren't a lot of politicians that are like that anymore, unless they're using that to get votes. At least JRE's genuine in his beliefs...when I saw him on George Stephanopoulos awhile back, and on other shows, his faith, his humility, and his human touch really came out. And now that Elizabeth is going to be okay, hopefully we'll get to see more of him - and all of his family, too.
