Iron Butterfly Channeled Buddy Rich

I loved this drum solo growing up. I think it was truly one of the early ones, and I recall Three Dog Night and most every rock band doing a drum solo live for a number of years after this one. Then it got to be trite.

Dave Mathews Band brought it back when I saw him 17 months ago, but admittedly, I'm behind on the times. American Idol never shows anyone but singers these days so I don't know which other bands do drum solos well.

I do know as a UU, I've attended quite a few "drumming" sessions, and loved participating in each one, either with tamberines or bongos. I've haven't a clue about note counting or timing, but willing to offer some beats of my own.
