How Sweet It Is: El Pato Wins US Open
This afternoon, my DH and I watched most of the US Open (while doing other chores as well), and witnessed a very competitive Father's Day round between Jim Fyruk, Tiger Woods, Steve Stricker, Stephen Ames, and this fellow from Argentina, Angel Cabrera, also known as "El Pato". Cabrera has played in the US many times, but often would land in the top 20. Today, he is the first from his country to win a US major golf tournament.
Sweet victory and congrats to all who made it in the final round. Oakmont CC was a very challenging course to play and the winner shot a 69 today.

I know this is strange, but because we went to the same college I always root for Tiger Woods. Because of that, I watched the last couple holes on television and it was painful to watch.
69 is a pretty amazing score though given the conditions...Cabrera deserved the win.
