Red Window
Elizabeth Edwards held a grand opening for her new furniture store on Saturday. The store is called Red Window and it's based on a charity store her mother had in Japan. She buys furniture in Hot Point, then sells at wholesale prices.
Here's a video clip:

Elizabeth Edwards called the store a family endeavor. On hand for the opening was her assistant manager and 11-year-old daughter Emma Claire, along with John Edwards."I do more moving furniture than anything else," John Edwards said. "This is Elizabeth's deal, but everybody in the family is trying to help support her."
Update: The Durham Herald Sun has more about Elizabeth and her purchasing methodology, and also how she was able to locate the store.
Next year while I am in NC for a meeting, I hope to go visit the store and catch up with some former campaign volunteers.

I wish I lived close enough to NC to visit her store. Congratulations Elizabeth and family.

The tabloid won't stop when they can still make a buck off them. As long as John Edwards keeps making such asinine choices and Hunter keeps feeding the details to these rags, it will continue.
What's sad is that it didn't have to be this way. It would have been painful for them no matter what but if Edwards had done the right thing for his family from the beginning, it wouldn't have gotten this bad.
Even now he could end it by paying child support but stopping all contact. It would be best for his family and the little girl. Then there would be one more story and it would be finished.

You're right about JE - he could end this but according to the National Enquirer - RH, he's still secretly (lying about being) in "contact" with RH. Obviously JE doesn't mind everyone knowing his business! Unfortunately, it's at EE and the children's expense though.
Wonder if the good people of Wilmington have had any sightings of RH and child yet? I do hope they "twitter" when they see them!

Most likely Hunter will give the tabloids her address so they can get plenty of pictures of her meal ticket (aka daughter) for future stories. (They'll need her address to send her payments for her info, too.) If not, the photogs will find her anyway so I'm sure the stories will continue.

You know, I'm pretty sure John Edwards knows that Hunter is feeding information to the NE - and I bet he has had no contact with her, for that very reason and the recent investigation. The person I don't trust is Hunter - please, using the National Enquirer to get your information out? I believe she would say and do anything just to continue the speculation. Frankly, bringing the affair up only continues this crap. As the woman at the end of the clip said, The family needs to go on and live their lives.

I suppose she will also let the NE know when she's moved in to her new home in Wilmington, NC too!
