Blessed are the Peacemakers
Yesterday, over 1200 roses were delivered to journalist Helen Thomas' offices at Hearst Newspapers as complement for her questions to our president, who tried to side step them and she kept asking.

The roses, food, and expenses for other things were organized by DU'ers. I was unaware of the initiative until the deed had been happily done. Ms. Thomas' response:
Blessed are the peacemakers. The bounty of beautiful roses from such wonderful people has lifted my heart and will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. Thank you for caring that others may live.

Helen Thomas deserves every rose she gets. I was actually appalled at how rude the president's been to an older woman. So much for Christian family values.
