The Empty Third Chair: John Edwards
I'm surprised CNN recognized there was a third candidate for the debate tonight: JRE. That chair is empty, so is the debate.

Pretty much sums up the state of this presidential race. Edwards' departure from the race leaves a huge void. One that cannot be filled by either of the remaining candidates. I weep for my country.

I agree, Astrogirl. I give credit to a more grown up debate on CNN, but why they waited a year is beyond me.
And I heard JRE's name invoked many times. It was clear they borrowed his ideas and had few of their own all along.
