Congrats Saints!
I was rootin' for ya all last night. I never gave up hope, just as you didn't. The Defense was spectacular in the second half.

NOLA should be proud, especially after Brownie and Bush almost let it drown.
One of my NOLA buds called it the "Year of the Yat."
To the Colts credit, they were close to getting another touchdown. Just wasn't their night.
After the Pokes, I said even midway this past season, it looked to be the Saints' year. Pokes were lucky to win against the Saints in the latter part of the season, but I knew the Saints would likely win a rematch, the Vikings got to the Pokes first.
Thank goodness the Saints' coaches didn't listen to Phil Simms at 3:24 left in the game. And they took some nice risks. Great game, great job.
Update: this is crap from the media about Peyton Manning. He and the Colts do not deserve any big blame for not wanting to speak out. Peyton Manning was correct: it was the Saints' field last night.

Did you see the Rachel Maddow episode-- oops, I mean the Rachel Maddeaux Sheaux, last Friday? One of the best Rachel episodes I've ever seen. Had all this great stuff about New Orleans, from Katrina to the cuisine and the cocktail Sazerac.
And those Saints fans-- they could really give Cubs fans a run for their money in devotion; and until Sunday, in misery! I've never even seen Broncomaniacs or Texas football fans mill around the team's plane on the tarmac at the airport.
It was such a beautiful thing to see that game and the love the fans have for their team. As I recall, tonight they've scheduled a huge parade, which they were going to even if they had lost. And to top it off, 106 million people saw this game! New Orleans is back.

The Saints and New Orleans may come back. With the newest tabloid report that Edwards proposed the the whore, he never will. It proves he's a narcissistic psychopath to show no concern for his legitimate children. He's finished and should go away.
I hope Elizabeth takes him for everything and gets sole custody of her children. (Use the beating in the divorce and file criminal charges too.) Being with John would be cruel for anyone but especially for young children. God bless Elizabeth.

Edwards could be stringing her along to keep her quiet and following orders - like going after the sex tape in court. Has she booked the NYC rooftop and the Dave Matthews Band for the "happy" occasion? (Did she notice the proposal was her "reward" for keeping her mouth shut - guess Edwards missed all the stories she sold including this one - rather than what a marriage proposal should be?) Maybe the tabloid will put together an album of their stories as a wedding gift. Then they can share it with their daughter to tell her all about how their family came to be and the lives they destroyed in the process. Hunter can add the bills for her fertility treatments, a copy of the sex tape and other little mementos of their "courting" days.
Or Edwards could still be delusional and think she is the only way he can have any sort of life. Since everyone else in his life has shunned him, the "crazy slut" as he called her is the only way for him not to be alone forever. (He can't even pick up women in bars so she “wins” because she’s the only woman who will have anything to do with him.) He thinks he'll create a life with her and their daughter but what sort of life? They are both unemployed and unemployable so are they going to sit in an expensive house and stare at one another all day? Elizabeth will get at least half and very possibly more of their money. Buying expensive homes and living the lavish life Hunter demands is going to burn through what is left relatively quickly. (The Edwards’ joint assets were estimated in the low tens of millions not billions. $3.5 million homes will eat up his share fast.) Then what? The three of them move into her friend's basement?
But wait, she testified against him before the grand jury. So the more likely outcome is she lives in the big fancy house and burns through the money while he sits in a cell. Oh what a happy, devoted couple!
Yes, this is a recipe for disaster but the two of them deserve it. The people who don't deserve it are Cate, Emma and Jack so I agree Edwards should have no custody or visitation. Let these children build lives of their own without the train wreck Edwards was and continues to be. And ditto for God to bless Elizabeth!

So they are "Love Lips" and "Crazy Slut"? They are both deranged.
He is showing his true colors and for her children's sake, I hope Elizabeth can accept what John has become so she can protect her children from them both. The torture it would be for those children to have to spend any time with Crazy Slut would undoubtedly harm them for life. There is no reason Elizabeth has to let her children be with them now or ever.
Elizabeth was right when she said John is a monster!

I wonder if Edwards will reconsider his proposal since he'll learn Hunter was cheating on him? Elizabeth must be so happy to be rid of him. I feel sorry for Elizabeth's children to learn all this garbage. I feel sorry for the baby, too, because look at all the horrible things she'll learn about both her parents.
Do you think the sister will sell an interview about her sister cheating on the love of her life?

These people interfered with a marriage and destroyed a family. If they want to make money off their immoral actions, it is justice for her to take some of that money away. At the very least, let them squirm and rack up some legal bills!

A former aide to John Edwards turned over the now infamous sex tape to a judge Wednesday, then faced tough questions from attorneys for the ex-presidential candidate's mistress who were frustrated with his changing story about where the tapes had been kept.
On top of that, Andrew Young said Elizabeth Edwards has threatened to sue him for contributing to the downfall of their marriage.
Young's attorneys turned over several items to be placed under seal, including an original videotape marked "special" that purportedly shows John Edwards in a sexual encounter with mistress Rielle Hunter. Young also turned over a copy of the tape.
The former Edwards confidant struggled to answer why he said last week that the only copies of the sex tape he had access to were in an Atlanta lockbox. He testified Wednesday that he also had a copy of the tape elsewhere and that he recently showed the video to ABC News in preparation for an interview.
"That is disturbing to me, and it's not a comfort to our client," said Alan Duncan, an attorneys (sic) for Hunter, who has said Young invaded her privacy by keeping the video and photographs of her.
Young conceded he previously made some errors in his sworn statement but said he has tried his best to detail the location of items Hunter is seeking.
"I answered as honestly as I could," he testified.
Young said after the hearing that Elizabeth Edwards has threatened an "alienation of affection" lawsuit against him.
North Carolina is among about a half-dozen states that allows a person to sue a third party for contributing to the breakup of a marriage. Jilted spouses typically use the remedy to seek money from their partner's lover.
"We have some very powerful people coming after us," Young said. "Are we scared? Absolutely."
A spokeswoman and an attorney for Elizabeth Edwards declined to comment. Young said he's going to fight to prove that he and his family are not liars.
Young initially claimed to be the father of Hunter's child and helped hide her from media and Elizabeth Edwards during the 2008 White House campaign. He detailed in his book the rise and fall of his former boss and the lengths Edwards went to hide his affair and the child he had with Hunter.
Young said he found the sex tape in a home he rented for Hunter and that he kept it to corroborate his story.
Another copy of the sex tape has been turned over to federal investigators who have been probing Edwards' campaign finances, Young has said.

As a former resident of New Orleans, I have to say, that was one helluva game and the Saints owned the field the second half. My husband is still grinning a week later, and I have to wrestle the Drew Brees jersey the kids gave him for X-Mas in order to wash it. Who Dat!
