Bill Maher Channels John Edwards
The first part is New Rules and jokes.
2:00 minutes in is the
He calls Democrats in Congress the New Republicans, and the current Republicans are the party of crazies. Except for one idea (about legalizing marijuana), all of the things that most Democratic party constituents want were the ones JRE proposed.
It occurs to me that the Democratic Party may be like the GOP in the sense that we have entertainers or the fallen politicians being our mouthpiece instead of elected officials. Dennis K of course, with exception.
Update: I just saw this AMA Commercial by Maher.
Yep, ain't it the truth.

Thanks, Benny. I miss John Edwards voice for the poor and the middle class. He was very clear and very specific with his proposals.
Our radio show today has on the brilliant Glen Ford of blackagendareport.com at 2PM Mountain Time. At 3PM Mountain Time we have former CIA analyst Melvin Goodman, another favorite of ours. At 4PM we have the head of the organization "Green Coalition of Gay Loggers for Jesus" that has applied for a parade permit to march with the tea party group that has a permit for July 4 in Bozeman, MT. Interesting place, Montana.

MM, Glen Ford was excellent. Too bad you only had him for an hour. I could have easily listened to him another hour.

Thanks Benny - Don't you find it kinda sad that the only ones that are seeing things truthfully are the comedians? Or perhaps it's because the corporations control the media and this is becoming the only outlet for someone to speak out and not be censured? Either way - I just hope more people are listening the Maher, even those at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

WfH, I've always thought that snarks spoke of truth, and yes, Obama needs to be pushed as much as possible. The good and bad news is that Obama does invite it from the CJ's, but not from journalists. Look at Froomkin getting fired from WaPO.
