Bill Maher is Spot On

He's suggesting more substance, less style.

  • Thanks for the clip! This week's edition of Newsweek (while not as funny as last week's edition edited by Stephen Colbert) has a piece on Obama's health care "reform" worth reading. (http://www.newsweek.com/id/202015)

Admittedly health care reform is an enormous undertaking; however, nibbling at the edges won't provide substantive changes to the actual care provided, coverage for the uninsured or underinsured or heal the ailing economy. It is time to show some of that change we were promised!

  • I agree that Maher was spot on - Obama's approval rating is taking a little dip and I'm concerned that he won't have the political capital down the road - and it's always prudent to push through the things that matter most in the first year.

  • Like Maher said... if you can't make progress NOW when will you be able to?!
