Benny's World

About a week ago, many of us who are loyal bloggers on the OAC blog were asked our opinions about the navigation of the OAC site and blog. I joked that the blog was as close to JRE TV as I would get. Another blogger also commented that he would like an Edwards TV.

Lol and behold! When the beta OAC site was re-launched on Wed night, there was an icon on the front page called JRE-TV. It has video clips of his travels--the ones on the Hotel Workers rising, and also OAC News to explain the new features of the blog.

Check it out yourself!

Blessed are the Peacemakers

Yesterday, over 1200 roses were delivered to journalist Helen Thomas' offices at Hearst Newspapers as complement for her questions to our president, who tried to side step them and she kept asking.

Better pic of Ms. Thomas with her joy of deserved accolades.

The roses, food, and expenses for other things were organized by DU'ers. I was unaware of the initiative until the deed had been happily done. Ms. Thomas' response:

Blessed are the peacemakers. The bounty of beautiful roses from such wonderful people has lifted my heart and will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. Thank you for caring that others may live.
Helen Thomas
Columnist, Hearst Newspapers

Ms. Thomas is 85 and still kickin'. And a true dove in her heart.

Does My Webblog Own Me?

According to

43.75 %

My weblog owns 43.75 % of me.
Does your weblog own you?

This is only true because I have a blog at work that I maintain that is work-related and I blog on other places. Clearly, this blog isn't updated enough to characterize it as "owning me". But if the test read, does the blogopsphere own you? Then I would have to say...maybe...probably!

Hat-tip to Coturnix of the Science & Politics blog, which is blogrolled on Benny's World.
