Inviting the Wealthy to Invest in the Bailout?

I have to agree with Atrios on this one. Why would anyone invite wealthy folks who messed up the system to expect them to clean up the mess when the government hands over the money with few questions asked.

I wonder why no one in the Treasury Department nor the Fed listens to Paul Krugman?
