Another AI and I totally Disagree

Like last year, I wanted the other person to win. Why Lee won I do not know except I think the far Right does phone in, and I did not.

Adam Lambert's CD Finally Out

and it looks energizing.

For someone who won 2nd place at Idol, (mainly because of the anti-marriage equality folks who voted for the other guy--where is he?) Adam is all of the talk. He should have won the competition and he is still the American Idol in my mind. He's a true performer.

Hello David Cook--Yes It Was You We Looked For In MCI

Opening song from a "Cookie" at last night's concert--the same one I attended at the Sprint Center in DC's home town. I hope to have some pics up soon. More about the AI tour show later. It was the fab 10, but confess Michael Johns, Carly Smithson, and DC were my favorites.

This is Why I like David Cook

I can understand the words to many songs I've liked.

I'm glad the judges were wrong.

I'm looking forward to seeing the AI tour on August 30th in Kansas City, MO!

Oh--I'm a "Cookie" now.

Here's a link to all of DC's stuff, if you belong to this social network.

Here's another one:

"All Right Now" by Free.. Simon was wrong about him. And David was right.

David Cook in San Jose

Opening..with "Hello"

"Billie Jean"

This is what my brother and his wife saw last night. They were 10 rows from him. They said he was great. I know these videos (h/t to the David Cook fan site) are giving me goosebumps!

Kids Day Interview David Cook

Found this over at David-Cook.org, the most awesome site in getting the latest videos, pictures, news, etc about DC. (h/t gerekriss)

Kids are so refreshingly honest in an innocent way. He was great with them too. Very poised.

A David Cook Site that Rocks

I was surfing on the Net to see what DC had been up to, and I stumbled across this awesome fan BB, David-Cook.org. I will be adding it to my blogroll. It has the latest information on upcoming (and past) appearances and interviews in all media.

Apparently I missed DC at Mercedes Benz Summer Series appearance connected to Jay Leno's show. Here's the link.

He did a smashing job with "My Hero", as well as "Time of My Life" (his hit single).

Never occurred to me that DC's look would be mirroring after the Foo Foo Fighters after listening to "My Hero." May it is, maybe not.

Times like these...one of JRE's theme songs.

David Cook performed an amazing version of our national anthem at the Lakers-Celtics game the other night.

He'll be on Jimmy Kimmel's show tomorrow night (late), then...well check out the site!

David Cook: My Choice for the American Idol

I'm in shock...but I believed in David Cook for sometime, as I did in Jordan Sparks last year.

Congrats, David Cook. Rock on, dude! I'm looking for a CD from you to buy.

And congrats to the others...they were great too.

National Post article tells the story well.

Here's a great video of DC with ZZ Top:

Oh, I remember seeing ZZ 35 years ago. Sigh. A new rocker has won many of our hearts. And this song is very appropriate since it is from the Eliminator CD.

Update: a video of the winning moment and DC singing "This is the Time":

And when does one see Simon apologize and hug Paula too..classic moments.

Don't Want to Miss a Thing David Cook

Awesome.

Nor this one: First Time I Ever Saw Your Face:

His vocal control is amazing.

Go DC, go!

30 Lives Years Later: David Cook Does Who's Next

Slower, but great...never done before, and while I'm old enough to remember the original, this was done beautifully as Cook's own. As Simon said: "Welcome back, David Cook".

This is my American Idol...

But the rest of AI fans are for the other David...however, this dude is the best I've felt really good about for years. I'm an old punk, I guess!

David Cook: Missed this in March

Is this the American Idol? I think so, but the judges are on another David. He's OK, he's brave for 17, but Cook's it for me.

American Idol Fans are Nuts

The bottom two tonight were the best last week: Carly and Syesha. They are being ripped off.

Carly went home in a high note, but I find it ironic that she was voted out on "Jesus Christ Superstar."

Here's Carly's performance:

Jason and Brooke should have been voted the weakest, but as Simon sez, they are "charming" and appeared more human.

Update: David Cook, who surprised me with his training in theatrical music, but it shines here:

I hope he wins.

What Were the American Idol Fans Thinking?

By sending home Michael Johns tonight:

Great rendition of an Aerosmith classic.

Rock on, Michael. I had a funny feeling you were going home, but still, I hoped.

I saw this on Chancelucky's place. I liked the act by David Archuleta.

Living on a Prayer: Jordin Sparks

She did a tough song on AI tonight, "Livin' on a Prayer". I thought she did great, albeit I wish the judges would have given her more credit. Simon at least said it was a guy song. However, I think the song is loud, and she was forced to sing louder than usual.

I love this song because it ties to Edwards' message about improving lives and honoring work for all of us.

She's my pic for the American Idol.

BW, Jordin's 17 and she's gonna make it.
